What is the system requirements to run this? Especially the GPU. If a system can generate gromacs trajectories, would it surely also run viamd?
From our paper in JCIM:
" The minimum requirement is a dual-core system with 4 GB of available system memory and a graphics accelerator supporting OpenGL 3.30. The recommendation is to have a multicore system (4+) and at least 8 GB of available system memory as the evaluation performance scales with the number of threads available."

I would answer yes. VIAMD is quite performant even on large system. But the best way to know if it would fit your large trajectory is to try it!
